The use of Maxdynamic inserts

Maxdynamic inserts are used in many fields of industry in which there are involved various pumps, compressors, cranes, generators and many other machines.

Inserts resembling the Greek letter "Omega" (Ω) are one of the most flexible types of clutch connections.

Omega clutches using Maxdynamic inserts are maintenance-free. Properly selected and installed, they work without failures for many years. They reduce the noise and increase the service life of the cooperating devices. The flexible element of the clutch, deforming under the load, softens the course of torque changes, dampens vibrations, compensates for errors in the mutual setting of the cooperating devices. The high compliance of the Maxdynamic elastomer insert results in minimizing the axial and radial forces acting on the bearings. The beneficial effect of Omega type couplings on the durability of bearings, gears, drive shafts, crankshafts and the likes is particularly visible.

An important advantage of Omega couplings is the ease of assembly and disassembly. The elastic inlay consists of steel-elastomeric half-elements. The axial split of the insert allows for coupling and uncoupling the connected devices without the need to move them.

The elastomer used to make the insert is composed of polyurethane. It is a thermal and electrical insulator, it can work in the temperature range from -40°C to +93°C, it is characterized by high elasticity and chemical resistance (acids, bases, gasoline, oils, hot process vapors, etc.).

The metal elements of the clutch can be made of carbon steel or austenitic steel with a high chromium content (acid-resistant version).

The elastomer inserts are available in two length versions. The long variety is marked with the symbol 'DS', it is used to connect devices that are significantly distant from each other. The short version is marked with the symbol 'D', it is used to connect devices standing close to each other.

Omega couplings with Maxdynamic inserts are designed according to the individual characteristics of the drive system and the user's needs.
